“The Trained Eye” is a Training company that specialised in training photographers to their next level providing variety of training courses such as wedding photography, portrait photography and flash photography.

The Challenge

As fast growing company “The Trained Eye” was collecting and managing their operational databases using local solutions. The information included course planning (costing, capacity, booking and payments), customers registrations, decision making and cash planning and was distributed via email and shared locations.

As the business grows the management team wanted to have central web based secure intranet solution that will help them run the business and support their decision making process.

The Solution

Working with the client in initial “discovery” phase of the business processes end-to-end lead to the solution architecture and scope of work that included the modules that will be delivered as well as the technical architecture and platform that will be used. The following represent the key information about the solution:


Customers Relations Management (CRM) – Contact information, booking, communication, payments

Advertising – managing the advertising costs and venues.

Courses – detailed management of the courses including dates, suppliers, capacity, bookings etc.

Payments – payments schedule including deposits and stage payments

Reminders module – company task management and reminders system

Calendar – company calendar with event management.

Reports – various reports including capacity reports, advertising ROI reports, payment balance report, booking reports and financial reports.

File sharing – the system also acts as central file sharing for the team.
